Welcome to the World Famous Apollo Theater! April 2-6, 2006 the world-famous Gorillaz will begin a residency at the iconic Harlem stage performing five nights of Demon Days. The show will also highlight live contributions from many of the acts that contributed to the band's 2005 release: De La Soul, Roots Manuva, Ike Turner, Shaun Rider, and Bootie Brown.

The residency program is not a new one for the animated rock/rap heroes who recently completed a similar run of shows across the pond at the Manchester Opera House in the UK. It should also be noted: this is not the highly-anticipated, three-dimensional holographic show that the band has been promising. That tour, complete with holographic images constructed by Passion Pictures, is planned for 2007-2008.

Tickets will go on sale March 10 for the Apollo dates.
