This NEW! network will be broadcast in glorious HD sound across our purple mountains majesty and amber waves of grain to "hungry-for-new-music audience" everywhere. Sign up now!

Because we here at Kludge like the business philosophy of corporate giants like Google, and dislike the financial business strategy of behemoths like Clear Channel (and kinda because we like CMJ and think that NEW! might be trying to steal its thunder), we thought it would be really great if people took this news with the same healthy helping of skepticism as we did. We also thought it would be pretty funny if we created a bunch of Myspace profiles for bands and uploaded Frank Sinatra songs to them, submitted them to NEW!, and just generally made big public nuisances of ourselves.

But that would probably get us a cease and desist order.
